The V-Insert is simply a marriage of your bow's trajectory
and the width of most game animal's vital zones.
We calculated the width of the majority of game species' vital zones and scaled them at 10-yard intervals (10-yards, 20-yards, 30-yards, etc.).
We then plotted the trajectory curves of bows for every 5 FPS from 260 - 325 FPS. Built on a V-shape configuration, we matched the widths of the vital zones to the increments where your bow's trajectory curve would put your arrow at that distance. E-Z!
We know know how wide the animal's lungs are at 20-yards. Therefore, we know where your arrow's flight path is at 20-yards, 30-yards, 40-yards, etc.
